South Texas Educational Scholarship Fund

The South Texas Educational Scholarship Fund (STESF) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that holds the licensed with the Miss America Organization to produce the Miss San Antonio Scholarship Pageant, a local preliminary to the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant.  STESF provides scholarship & leadership development opportunities to young women who are involved in the program.
 
STESF partners alongside individuals, businesses, universities and community organizations to support the higher education aspirations of our contestants as they serve our community, and then as local Titleholders as they compete for the state competition each year.  ALL scholarships earned are sent directly to the college/university of their choice as an educational (tuition) award.  Two - Thirds of the student loan debt is owned by women. As the world's leading provider of scholarships for women, one of the Miss America Program objectives to assist those who compete in the system and opportunity to earn scholarship money. Without contributions, the scholarship amounts do not meet the cost of higher education.
