Eligibility Requirements

Miss Contestants must be no older than 28 years of age as of September 30, 2027, and no younger than 18 on September 1, 2027

Teen Contestants must be no older than 18 years of age on September 30, 2027, and at least 14 years of age by September 1, 2027.
For ALL AGES you must ALSO meet criterion as shown below:

Contestants must qualify under ONE of the following conditions:
Residency:
Delegates qualifying by residence must provide proof of at starting a least 120 consecutive days prior to January 16th, 2027 (September 18, 2026) of residency within the following counites: Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, DeWitt, Frio, Gillespie, Guadelupe, Gonzales, Karens, Kendall, Kerr, Lavaca, Medina, Uvalde, or Wilson
Employment:
Delegates qualifying by employment must submit documentation of full-time, in-person employment (minimum of 40 hours per week) held for at least 120 consecutive days prior to competition. Employment must be within one of the following counites: Delegates qualifying through student status must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university located within: Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, DeWitt, Frio, Gillespie, Guadelupe, Gonzales, Karns, Kerr, Lavaca, Medina, Uvalde or Wilson
Student Status:
Delegates qualifying through student status must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university located within: Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, DeWitt, Frio, Gillespie, Guadelupe, Gonzales, Karns, Kerr, Lavaca, Medina, Uvalde or Wilson counites. Full-time status is determined by the institution.
IMPORTANT: Being Miss San Antonio requires a significant commitment, with upwards of 150 appearances +. Miss San Antonio 2027 must have flexibility in her schedule to fulfill the historical requirements. Miss San Antonio 2027 is an Official member of Fiesta Royalty. Miss San Antonio Teen 2027 is NOT affiliated with the Fiesta San Antonio Commission and should not expect any involvement with "official" Fiesta events.
The process for entering a local-level preliminary in the Miss America system involves several important steps.
To help ensure everything is completed correctly and on time, the process has been divided into two categories: requirements of the National Office and requirements of the Local Office. It is essential that all required steps and materials are completed within close timelines.
The final deadline for all items to be completed is 12:00 noon on January 9, 2027.
Please note that this deadline is firm and will not be extended. Planning ahead and completing each step in a timely manner will help ensure a smooth and successful preliminary entry process.
National Office Requirements: (Steps 1 - 4)
Step 1:
Join Club America ($49.99 + Fees = $51.74)
- For new members only (first time joining Club America)
- Club America is a subscription and will renew automatically each year on your join date anniversary.
- All active contestants in Miss America local or state competitions must be members. Non - members cannot compete.
Step 2:
Sign Your Delegate Agreement
- After completing Step 1, your contract (Delegate Agreement) will open automatically in your browser.
- IF it does not open, select the link below that matches your competition catagory
Step 3:
- After your contract (Delegate Agreement) is complete, you will receive an email and SMS with a link to apply for your unique Go Red for Women Fundraising (Spot Fund) link.
- Use the same email address and cellular number used to join Club America.
- C28 competitors require a new C28 Go Red for Women Spot Fun Link. Older link (i.e.: C27 links will be disabled after September 30 ,2026)

Step 4:
Once Steps 1 - 3 are complete, register for the Miss San Antonio & Miss San Antonio Teen Scholarship Pageant.
